🔎 Man-Made Religions vs. The Word of God. By: Dr. Gladys Dark
The image below shows a few men who started religious movements centuries after Christ:
John Smyth (1608) – Baptist
Charles Parham (1901) – Pentecostal
Joseph Smith (1830) – Mormon
Charles T. Russell (1872) – Jehovah’s Witness
William Miller (1863) – Seventh-day Adventist
Each of these groups was founded by men with their own teachings, doctrines, or revelations. While some may contain fragments of biblical truth, they often add to or take away from the Gospel.
📖 The Bible warns us:
“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)
“Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)
✅ True Christianity is not based on the traditions or revelations of men, but on Jesus Christ alone — His death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Any movement that shifts the focus away from Christ and His finished work is not biblical.
👉 Remember: Salvation is not found in a denomination or man-made system, but in Christ alone (John 14:6).
