Title: Public Service Announcement from “My Peaceful Era” by: Dr. Gladys Dark 💛🙏🏾
I’m at a point where I’m simply done carrying problems that don’t belong to me. Family, community, acquaintances, colleagues—99% of the drama I’ve been pulled into lately has nothing to do with me. I didn’t start it, and most times I warned about it before it all fell apart. Yet, when the mess explodes—here comes the call for Gladys.
Well, this is the official notice:
I’m hanging up my cleats. I’m done playing in other people’s emotional games.
Handle your own drama, foolishness, and chaos—because I’ve retired from rescuing folks who don’t want to be responsible for their own storms.
At this stage of life, peace is my ministry. My circle is small, my energy sacred, and my boundaries fortified. If you bring drama, you’ll meet the exit door—quickly. I don’t sow confusion in my own life, so I’m no longer volunteering for anyone else’s.
✌🏾 I’m out of “your” game. My focus is my purpose, my peace, and my promise.
🕊️ Spiritual Reflection (for the Flyer or Second Post)
Yes—there are deep spiritual implications. Even Jesus faced this.
• People constantly came to Him with their problems but rarely stayed to support Him in His hour of need.
• When He warned the disciples of coming trials, they didn’t listen—and when the pressure came, they scattered.
• In Luke 5, people pressed in on Him until He had to withdraw to desolate places to pray (Luke 5:16). Even the Savior needed boundaries.
Other biblical figures felt this too:
• Moses carried the burdens of the Israelites until God told him to appoint others to share the load (Numbers 11:16–17).
• Nehemiah refused distractions from his mission, saying, “I am doing a great work and cannot come down.”(Nehemiah 6:3)
• Jesus modeled rest, withdrawal, and discernment about who could walk closely with Him.
The message: even the chosen ones had to set boundaries to preserve their purpose.

Amen! Praise God for this revelation! 🙌🏽
