Reflection / Observation:
Gates vs Courts
Something to ponder on.
•The term "courts" is used metaphorically to represent God's administrative and judicial system in heaven.
•These courts are believed to be the place where God's judgments, decrees, and ordinances are executed.
•The Holy Spirit is seen as the intercessor who brings believers' petitions and prayers to the courts, requesting divine intervention in their lives.
What can you share about gates or the courts of heaven?
What Holy Spirit has shared with me is that we enter into HIS Gates with thanksgiving and into
HIS Courts with Praise. ( That is where JESUS IS) we get closer and closer by entering this way
Jesus is in the courts but to get to where HE is we can not enter in any type of way.
GOD Almighty wants our gratitude and thanksgiving and a heart and lips full of HIS praises. Full of the Truth of who HE and what HE means to us. ( AKA “Honesty” followed by the foundational truths and principals of the Bible and the doctrine of JESUS CHRIST.
“TRUTH responds to Truth”🌺
Remember HE is the righteous Judge and HE sits on the Right hand of the Father.
Psalm 84:10-12: “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand”
Proverbs 8:34 “Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.”
Do you want to come closer? Yes Lord I do 🙏🏽
What a blessed teaching here today. I love Praise and Worship to the Lord. For he is good and is worthy of all praise. Hallelujah!!!
In essence, Psalm 89 is a powerful and multifaceted psalm that explores the complexities of faith, covenant, and the human experience of both hope and disappointment in the face of God's promises.

• Psalm 89:38-52: Lament of the unfulfilled promises and a prayer for God's intervention.
Reflection/Observation:
There were many reflections to be made as I began to read aloud the verses( 1-18). And silently the remainder of the text. I could feel the Power of the I AM GOD as I declared the written word here in this text. Who GOD is roared loudly as I declared my faith in agreement to what YOU said , yet are Speaking.
The stanzas of the “ YOU, YOURS ( GOD) is nothing to be compared to. The text says’s “ Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? In the council of holy ones GOD is greatly feared, HE is more awesome than All who surround HIM.” ( Let’s pause right here in reverence to HIM)
“YOU created, YOUR arm endowed with Power, YOUR hand is strong, YOUR right hand exalted, YOU crushed, YOU rule..”
Then the YOU went to “I.”
“ My GOD , My ROCK, My SAVIOR” said and IS saying to us to encourage Us today and encourage us some more.
“I have crushed,
I have bestowed Strength,
I have raised up,
I have found, I will crush,
I will appoint,
I will maintain My love and my Covenant
I will Establish”
I conclude with this knowledge of Covenant:
solemn agreement or promise, typically between God and His people, involving both promises and obligations. These covenants are not just contracts; they represent a relationship ..
Vs. 28-35
“I will maintain my love to him forever, and my covenant with him will never fail.
I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
“If his sons forsake my law and do not follow my statutes, if they violate my decrees and fail to keep my commands,
I will punish their sin with the rod, their iniquity with flogging;
but I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.
I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.
Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness—and I will not lie to David”
GOD can NOT lie!
Numbers 23:19 “Numbers 23:19. King James Version ... God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?”
Examples of Covenants in the Bible:
God's promise to never again destroy the earth with a flood, established in Genesis 9.
God's promise of a great nation, land, and blessing, found in Genesis 12 and 15.
God's covenant with the Israelites through Moses, outlined in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, which includes the Ten Commandments and other laws.
God's promise to establish a dynasty through David, found in 2 Samuel 7.
God's covenant with His people through Jesus Christ, detailed in Jeremiah 31 and later described in the New Testament.
Matthew Henry's commentary on Psalm 82 focuses on the duty of judges to administer justice and protect the weak, highlighting their dependence on God and the consequences of their failure to do so. The psalm critiques corrupt judges who fail to defend the poor and needy, emphasizing that they are "sons of the Most High" and should be guided by justice, not personal gain. Ultimately, the psalm calls for God's intervention to judge these corrupt rulers and restore justice.
Bible Study Tools Summary:
An exhortation to judges. (1-5)
Magistrates are the mighty in authority for the public good. Magistrates are the ministers of God's providence, for keeping up order and peace, and particularly in punishing evil-doers, and protecting those that do well. Good princes and good judges, who mean well, are under Divine direction; and bad ones, who mean ill, are under Divine restraint. The authority of God is to be submitted to, in those governors whom his providence places over us. But when justice is turned from what is right, no good can be expected. The evil actions of public persons are public mischiefs.
The doom of evil rulers. (6-8)
It is hard for men to have honour put upon them, and not to be proud of it. But all the rulers of the earth shall die, and all their honour shall be laid in the dust. God governs the world. There is a righteous God to whom we may go, and on whom we may depend. This also has respect to the kingdom of the Messiah. Considering the state of affairs in the world, we have need to pray that the Lord Jesus would speedily rule over all nations, in truth, righteousness, and peace.
Reflection:
This was poured into my heart as I read this text.
Seeking the scriptures takes not just reading but a rightly dividing that is enhanced by Holy Spirit. Such secrets and interpretation for the season are “divinely inspired”directly to the “ church”, ( churches) yes the individual that reads the text and studies the context by searching the scriptures must exert energy. It takes discipline and time. Then the reveal to what HE, GOD is “saying” to us as individuals and collectively can be communicated and expressed by “ His Spirit.” This can be by a word a wisdom, knowledge, counsel, by His might… in a place of “ fear”, yes Reverence to the Almighty as your King, Lord, Abba Father, Healer, Savior.. Friend.. yes in Awe of Elohim , the I AM GOD. By a praise, prayer, a song, or a melody from HIS heart to ours, thus is magnified in our body and spirit which belongs to HIM.
2 Peter 1:20-22
1 Peter4:11
To hear what HIS heart and mind is projecting from HE that is Spirit to US who has a regenerated spirit that avails to become more like Jesus Christ.
Shalom🙏🏽🌺
In reference to the text the ending is what echoed in my hearing.
Call for Justice:
The psalm ends with a plea for God to judge the earth and establish justice, emphasizing the hope that God will bring about a time of righteousness.
This weekend has been a testimony on GODs Righteousness springing forth as the light.
Isaiah 61:11 ( I will have to share verbally but I did share with many on today😊)
The Bible clearly makes many references to the Righteousness of GOD and of JESUS CHRIST.
Another Reference I will include is how GOD’s Righteousness exalts the Nation but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
God said that a quick work will HE do and IS doing and HE will cut it short in Righteousness. Romans 9:28
Thank you Lord Jesus for your Righteousness because ours is as filthy rags🙏🏽Isaiah 64:6
Amen Sis. Chrishana!! ❤️ It’s so true that seeking the scripture takes more then just reading. I was reminded of the scripture meditate on the Word. It’s when we meditate on the Word day and night……… Hallelujah! 🙌🏽
Great information! Thank you Coach Kim!
