My Overview and Observation
This is a psalm of David where he is once again pleading to God for his life. He is asking that his enemies not be victorious over him and that God, will come to his aid quickly. It is a Psalm of urgency and immediate intervention and deliverance from his enemies. He is asking that his enemies be put to shame and be confounded, turning back in confusion. He also expresses much joy for those who believe and trust in God. His humility and dependence upon God and God alone over his own poverty and neediness. This is a reminder that we can always call out to God in both our calmness and our pleas of desperation. Our ability to rely upon God as our covenantal relationship allows us to do, reminding us that God will always deliver and save His people. This is a powerful prayer for those facing adversity and who are in desperate need of God’s help. Those who trust and believe that God is not only able but willing to come to our aid when we earnestly seek and have faith in Him. To God be the Glory.
Psalm 70 is a prayer for deliverance from enemies, where the psalmist, likely David, urgently pleads for God's intervention and swift rescue, recognizing his own need and dependence on God's help.
David is to putting God in remembrance of His mercy and promises. We often must remind God of His Resume (His Word) and not lean on our own if we are to be victorious in every area of our lives consistently!
